Overview
C6 Pre-Cut Full Insulation Kit
The MadVette C6 Pre-cut Insulation kit comes with everything you need to insulate and provide sound deadening in your Corvette, including Pre-cut pieces for your doors.
Other kits on the market provide a similar product, but do not provide pre-cut pieces for your doors, which allow road noise to be present in your front cabin. Our kit gives you everything you need to COMPLETELY insulate your C6 Corvette.
Our kit is a non-fiberglass, non-asphalt based product which weighs in at 3.5 lbs., for those who are weight conscious, it rejects 97% of the radiant heat, and knocks off 19db of sound and road noise!!!
It is only 3/16" thick, so as not to interfere with proper mounting of your panels and seats, and all holes are pre-cut & clearly labeled for your convenience.
It is our #1 goal to provide you ease of install, while making a HUGE improvement in your overall enjoyment of your Corvette!!!
Each kit is hand cut to our specifications, and guaranteed to make a dramatic difference in your C6!!!
Each kit comes with the following pieces:
- Driver & Passenger front floorboard pieces, with holes cut for seat bolts and pedals.
- Driver & Passenger side tunnel pieces, cut around your e-brake.
- Full center console pieces, with holes for the center console bolts.
- Driver & Passenger side Door Panel pieces.
- Cargo area floor pieces.
- Full Side rear wheel well pieces.
- Full back wall and corner pieces.
- Driver & Passenger Cubby hole pieces.
- Extra pieces for the rear speaker areas.
- Extra pieces for the overhead roof support.
- Extra pieces for odds and ends coverage that you may need.
- Z06 & ZR1 owners, roof piece is included. Please specify in order comments.

I just had Dave install his insulation kit. If you haven't had this modification, run, don't walk to Dave and purchase the kit, or if you want a professional installation, Dave is the man.

Have a 2006 C6 with long tube headers; the interior temperature was a real problem when the car was run hard. The interior noise level was also too loud to talk in normal voice. I spent about 16 actual hours installing the full kit. Be prepared to do a lot of cutting of smaller pieces and patches to get complete coverage but there is enough material in the kit to get complete interior coverage.
The end result is the car has a great deal LESS HEAT transfer and is much nicer to drive on hot days. The drive shaft tunnel area is only slightly warmed to the touch after an hour of driving. I would say the engine and tire noise is cut by about 20% which is a big reduction as far as I am concerned.
It is worth the time and money if you plan to keep the car for some time.

Car ran a lot quieter on the way up here. I drove about 85 to Nashville, then 90-100 all the way to Louisville. I had about an hour at 100 . Very quiet inside; you could easily hear the radio, and the wheel/tire noise wasn't there at all. My side of the tunnel got warm, but the pass. side - and the cup holder! - did NOT.
Thanks for all that you've done!! I appreciate the nice job that you did, AND allowing me to watch. I now know how to take out the interior, always a useful bit of knowledge.

Just got home about an hour ago from the drive back to IL. The insulation kit was and
is phenomenal!! I had a regular Arby's cup that stayed cold for 3 hrs until I decided
to finally throw it out. Needless to say, that wouldn't have happened without your
kit. Thanks for the work and conversation during the install. I'll be in touch
about the stereo stuff when I decide to follow through with it.
